PRESENTATION

Naomi Loewith was invited to speak at the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors Conference on June 4, 2015. Naomi will discuss important steps to take when farmers or advisors suspect that a relationship is breaking down and a dispute might lead to legal action. She will also identify "red flags" to be wary of, and suggest steps that can be taken to minimize the risks in court. Naomi will also address helpful strategies during any litigation, and tools that are available to reach creative resolutions to legal disputes.

PRESENTATION

On January 15, Naomi will address the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors about animal rights from a legal perspective.  She will provide practical insight to laws that govern animal care, and the enforcement mechanisms available in case of suspected abuse or neglect, including fines, license revocation and seizure of livestock.  Naomi will highlight the red flags important for all farm advisors to be wary of, and related areas of potential advisor risk and liability.
