Delna’s prior work experience with the Canadian Forces and her strong academic background has made her a disciplined and decisive leader. Delna practices in a broad range of areas, including commercial litigation, class actions and insolvency matters under the CCAA. She has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario.

Prior to joining the firm, Delna practiced at the Toronto office of a large international firm.

While in law school, Delna gained valuable courtroom experience independently running several trials, including an appeal at the Court of Queen's Bench. Delna was an active participant in the competitive mooting program, placing first overall in the Davies National Corporate Securities Moot in 2014, and receiving the top factum award at the Jessup International Law Moot Competition in 2013.

    Represented a father and his disabled son on a pro bono basis in an appeal concerning disability support payments from the Government of Ontario. The father was awarded the maximum amount of benefits retroactive to the date of his application. (Prior to joining Lenczner Slaght)

  • Deciem Inc v 1127776 Ontario Limited:

    Counsel to the plaintiff, Deciem Inc in a commercial lease dispute. The plaintiff was entirely successful on summary judgment and received a significant costs award. The judgment was upheld on appeal. (Prior to joining Lenczner Slaght)
