Bethany* is the Manager of Legal Recruitment and Development. She is responsible for managing the firm’s talent recruitment process and supporting the continuing personal and professional development of our students and associates. Bethany leverages her previous experience in diverse organizations to build an inclusive workplace culture that encourages innovation and unlocks§ opportunities for growth. She provides our students and associates with the tools they need to reach their full potential . Outside of the firm, Bethany is an active member of the legal community and has held several leadership positions, focusing her efforts on programs advancing young lawyers from diverse backgrounds. .

Details

Bethany McKoy

is the Manager of Legal Recruitment and Development.

She supports the firm’s student program, student recruitment initiatives, professional development programming, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Prior to joining Lenczner Slaght, Bethany practiced as an associate at a litigation boutique. Before that, Bethany practiced at a large international full-service law firm, where she also summered and articled. During her years in practice, Bethany developed experience in a variety of complex corporate, commercial, regulatory, and civil litigation matters.

Bethany is an active member of the legal community and has held several leadership positions, focusing her efforts on programs advancing young lawyers from diverse backgrounds. Bethany is involved in the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers, formerly acting as Chair of the Young Lawyers Division and Social Committee. She is currently a board member of EmpowHERto, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping young women and girls reach their full potential. Bethany has previously acted as a moot coach for the Julius Alexander Isaac Diversity Moot and is also a mentor for the Osgoode First Generation Network. During law school, Bethany acted as President of the Legal and Literary Society, Osgoode Hall’s student council.
