Lauren* is an articling student at Lenczner Slaght. Lauren completed her JD at the University of Toronto, where she developed her advocacy skills competing in the Cassels Brock Moot Cup, the Kawaskimhon Moot, and the trial advocacy program. Whether mooting, researching for the David Asper Centre, or working as a student caseworker at Downtown Legal Services, Lauren knows§ first-hand the importance of distilling complex legal issues to solve problems and learning to stay calm in front of her audience . Prior to law school, Lauren completed her Master’s degree where she studied the impact Indigenous comic books can have on recognizing and valuing the concerns of Indigenous nations. .

Lauren Paparousis (she/her)

is a articling student at Lenczner Slaght.

Lauren completed her JD from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. During law school, Lauren worked as a Student Caseworker in the Employment Law and Academic Appeals division of Downtown Legal Services. She was also the Co-President of the University of Toronto chapter of the First Generation Student Network where she advocated for the interests of first generation students. She was also involved as a researcher for the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights’ Indigenous Rights Working Group and competed in the Cassels Brock Moot Cup as well as the Kawaskimhon Moot.

Prior to law school, Lauren completed her Master’s degree in Cultural Studies where she authored a thesis on the potential of Indigenous comic books to transform our understanding of Indigenous history, stories, and culture by combining text with graphic images.
