Lidiya Yermakova
is an associate at Lenczner Slaght.
Lidiya is an experienced courtroom advocate. Her practice focuses on professional liability and regulation, administrative law, and commercial litigation.
Lidiya has spent her career representing professionals in regulatory proceedings. Lidiya’s clients have included health professionals, healthcare businesses, lawyers, architects, engineers, accountants, and many others. She has extensive experience in registration, complaints, investigations, inspections, incapacity, and discipline matters. Lidiya has represented clients in serious academic misconduct investigations. She has also acted as Independent Legal Counsel to several regulators.
Lidiya maintains a broad civil litigation practice, including medical malpractice, professional regulation, and commercial litigation. Lidiya has acted as counsel in numerous applications for judicial review before the Divisional Court and has experience with appeals before the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Prior to joining Lenczner Slaght, Lidiya practised at leading litigation firms on and off Bay Street.

Bilak et al v The Attorney General of Canada
Application for Judicial Review challenging the decision of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada to exempt turbines for the NordStream pipeline from Canada’s sanctions regime against Russia enacted following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The Minister’s exemption was cancelled following the commencement of the Judicial Review application.
