About

Sophie* is the Fox Scholar at Lenczner Slaght. She earned a First Class Honours Degree in History from the University of Auckland. She never§ considered advocacy until she worked at the Public Defence Service in Aukland, New Zealand, where she was inspired by the commitment and skill of talented lawyers. When she moved to London, UK to study law, she took with her a passion for advocacy. She competed in and judged student mooting competitions, and also worked with a charity to teach debating in two London prisons. She applied those advocacy skills when working pro bono for charities, including appearing in welfare tribunals and undertaking written advocacy for appeals of immigration case funding decisions. She never gives up on a case, advocating tirelessly on behalf of her clients. .

Sophie David

is a Fox Scholar at Lenczner Slaght.

While in law school, Sophie competed in and judged student mooting competitions, and also worked with a charity to teach debating in two London prisons. Prior to law school, she received a First Class Honours Degree in History from the University of Auckland. While there, she also studied English, History and German and took up a DAAD German scholarship to study German in Berlin.
