Monique Jilesen Elected to The Advocates’ Society’s Board of Directors
We are pleased to announce that our Managing Partner and expert litigator, Monique Jilesen, has been elected to serve on The Advocates’ Society’s Board of Directors for the 2024-2028 term.
The Board is comprised of leaders of the bar from across Canada. The Standing Committees and Task Forces of the Board are the forces behind everything the Society does to further its mandate – from CPD to advocacy to mentoring to collegiality.
Monique is a formidable advocate and one of the top litigation lawyers of her generation in Canada. She is Lenczner Slaght’s Managing Partner and co-leader of the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice group. A fearless litigator, clients trust Monique to take on their toughest and most notable, high-profile cases. Her practice focuses on class actions, contract and shareholder disputes, civil fraud cases, injunctions, professional liability, bankruptcy and insolvency matters, and securities and derivatives cases.
