Block v Brewers

Counsel to a Block Developments Inc. in a successful five-week trial against Brewers Retail Inc. (i.e., The Beer Store). Block Developments Inc. was awarded $15.5 million for breach of contract and misrepresentation in respect of two failed land acquisitions in Toronto. Brewers Retail Inc. commenced an appeal, which we successfully defended. The damages award of $15.5 million was upheld.
