Lenczner Slaght Litigators Elected to The Advocates’ Society’s Leadership

We are pleased to announce that Brendan Morrison, Christopher Yung, Paul-Erik Veel, Andrew Parley, Nina Bombier, and Anne Posno will be serving prominent executive positions at The Advocates’ Society, a preeminent organization dedicated to promoting effective advocacy and access to justice.

Brendan Morrison was appointed to the 10+ Standing Committee. Brendan will be a strong voice for mid-career advocates and will help the committee ensure that there are opportunities for networking and engagement for their members. He will also help promote access to justice initiatives, pro bono initiatives, leadership, and career and business development programs.

Christopher Yung was selected for the position of Member-at-Large on the Securities Litigation Practice Group. Christopher will be one of the three Members-at-Large responsible for working with the Leadership Committee to carry out the responsibilities and initiatives of the Group. As a recognized expert in Securities Litigation and in his new position, Chris will make significant contributions to The Advocates’ Society and its members.

Paul-Erik Veel has been selected for the position of Member-at-Large on the Class Actions Practice Group. Paul-Erik will be one of the four Members-at-Large responsible for working with the Leadership Committee to carry out the responsibilities and initiatives of the Group. As a leading expert in the area of Class Actions, Paul-Erik will continue to make significant contributions to The Advocates’ Society and its members.

Andrew Parley joins the Leadership Committee of the Construction Law Practice Group as Secretary. Andrew was previously a Member-at-Large of the Practice Group. In his new role, he will be responsible for developing educational content, promoting programs, and supporting initiatives with respect to issues that affect members of the Group. As a leading expert litigator in Construction Law, Andrew will continue to make significant contributions to The Advocates’ Society and its members.

Nina Bombier has been appointed Chair of the Personal Injury and Insurance Practice Group. As part of the Leadership Committee, Nina will be responsible for planning and coordinating the activities of the Practice Group and reporting to the TAS Board, via the Practice Groups Standing Committee, on the activities of the Practice Group. A leading lawyer in the area of Insurance Litigation and in her new position, Nina will continue to contribute her expertise and knowledge to The Advocates’ Society and its members.

Anne E. Posno continues her work on the Leadership Committee of the Estates Litigation Practice Group, advancing into the role of Vice-Chair this term. Together with the Chair, the Vice-Chair is responsible for planning and coordinating the activities of the Group, such as educational programming and networking events in support of its members. As a leading expert in the area of Estates Litigation and in her new position, Anne will continue to contribute her expertise and knowledge to The Advocates’ Society and its members.
