Relax & Recharge Between Interviews: Lenczner Slaght Welcomes Students to the R&R Lounge
Canada’s leading litigation firm is once again offering an inclusive space for all law students participating in the Toronto 2026 Summer Student recruit to relax and recharge between in-firm interviews.
The Lenczner Slaght R&R Lounge is open to all law students, including those not interviewing with our firm. It is not part of our recruitment process, and students will not encounter lawyers in the Lounge. It will be located in the lobby of 130 Adelaide Street West and will be open on the following dates:
- Monday, October 27 – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Tuesday, October 28 – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Wednesday, October 29 – 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
Stop by and take a moment to yourself to:
- Rest (between interviews!)
- Relax (on a comfy couch!)
- Recharge (your phone!)
- Refuel (with snacks!)
- Read (a magazine!)
- Reflect (on the day!)
- Rev up (for what’s next!)
Introduced in 2018 in response to Precedent Magazine’s critique of how cocktail events can alienate diverse candidates, the R&R Lounge reflects Lenczner Slaght’s ongoing commitment to a fair, inclusive student recruitment process.
“In-firm week can be fast and overwhelming at times, and we want to support students along the way,” say Brendan Morrison and Meghan Bridges, Partners and Co-Chairs of Lenczner Slaght’s Student Committee. “The R&R Lounge is designed as a calm, welcoming space where students can pause, recharge, and collect their thoughts as they move through the process.”
Kyle Magee, Senior Manager of Student Programs and Professional Development, adds: “The R&R Lounge is more than just a place to rest – it’s a space that embodies our commitment to wellness, inclusivity, and community. We encourage all students to visit the lounge and enjoy a little pause in the midst of in-firm activities.”
