Kyle Magee (he/him)
is the Director of Student Programs and Professional Development at Lenczner Slaght.
Kyle leads two teams at Lenczner Slaght, overseeing the firm’s law student and internal lawyer professional development programs.
Kyle’s role leading the student program includes recruitment, training, coaching, mentoring, professional development, and performance management of summer and articling students. Kyle also maintains and develops the firm’s relationship with Canadian law schools and student organizations. Kyle is frequently invited to speak at law schools across Canada about careers in advocacy and related topics.
In addition, Kyle develops and delivers professional development programs for the firm’s students and lawyers. These programs are designed to teach the skills advocates need to succeed in and out of the courtroom or boardroom. Kyle believes that technical excellence and a client centric approach to practice sets our litigators apart and allows Lenczner Slaght to continue to deliver exceptional results.
Prior to joining the firm, Kyle practiced as a litigator for over a decade at two international law firms. His broad advocacy practice included complex commercial, product liability, municipal, environmental, and insurance disputes. Kyle’s clients included multinational corporations, professional services companies and international insurers. As counsel, Kyle successfully managed hundreds of contentious disputes using traditional litigation and alternative dispute resolution techniques. Kyle is a big proponent of finding creative solutions to complex problems.
Kyle is also active in the community and is the past Chair of the Board of Directors of Amici Children’s Camp Charity, a not-for-profit organization that provides funding for children to attend overnight summer camps across Ontario.
