Sana Halwani Joins Lenczner Slaght
Newest partner brings together science, law, and advocacy.

With degrees in biochemistry and bioethics, Sana has significant experience in IP disputes in the life sciences, technology, energy, and gaming industries. She is registered in both the US and Canada as a patent agent, and is a Canadian trademark agent. Sana has represented clients at all levels of the Ontario and Federal courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada. Sana also has extensive experience in large cross-border disputes.
Sana clerked for Justice Rosalie Abella of the Supreme Court of Canada. She is in demand as a speaker on IP, advocacy, and diversity in the legal profession. Sana chairs the Life Sciences committee of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC) and co-chairs IPIC's Women in IP Networking Group.
