Lenczner Slaght Welcomes Jessica Allen
We are pleased to have Jessica Allen join us as our 2021/2022 Fox Scholar!
Jessica graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Law with French and French Law from the University of Nottingham and a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford.
Jessica refined her written and oral advocacy by representing City Law School at the European Round of the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition, in which her team won an award for Best Complainant Memorandum. She also won a national public law mooting competition and two national essay competitions. Following her call to the Bar, Jessica clerked for judges at the European Court of Human Rights and the High Court of England and Wales.
Jessica has a particular interest in environmental law, having been an active member of the UK Environmental Law Association since 2014. She has volunteered her time producing a comparative law report for WWF Greece on the legal and institutional frameworks for protected areas in four European countries, she has worked as a caseworker at the Environmental Law Foundation, and has assisted with strategic litigation as part of ClientEarth’s Clean Air team.
Following her term at Lenczner Slaght, Jessica will undertake pupillage at a specialist property, planning and environmental law chambers in London.
