Donya Tamehi (she/her)
is a summer student at Lenczner Slaght.
Donya is completing her JD at Osgoode Hall Law School. She discovered her strong interest in advocacy through Osgoode Hall Law School’s mooting program. A finalist at her first moot, the Lerners Cup, she went on to earn top distinctions, including placing first overall as a Distinguished Oralist at the Baby Jessup Moot and as a Top Oralist at the Frozen Open Osgoode Moot. The latter performance earned her a place representing Osgoode at the Cassels Brock “Baby Gale” Cup. Most recently, she was recognized as the runner-up Appellant Top Oralist at the Adam A. Fanaki Competition Law Moot.
At law school, Donya further strengthened her research and written advocacy skills through clinical placements. As an Immigration Division Leader with Osgoode’s Community & Legal Aid Services Program, she advocated on behalf of non-status residents while navigating complex legal challenges. She further refined her legal writing as a contributor to TheCourt.ca, Osgoode’s legal commentary blog, where she now serves as a Co-Managing Editor.
Before law school, Donya completed an Honours Specialization in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at Western University, with a concentration in economics.
