Lauren* Di Felice is an articling student at Lenczner Slaght. While completing her JD at the University of Toronto, Lauren excelled in studying litigation, placing first at the Davies Corporate Securities Law moot and competing at the Arnup Cup Trial Advocacy competition. With a strong work ethic and an unwavering commitment to her clients, Lauren always targets§ excellence and doesn’t stop until she finds a path to success . Whether she is advocating for her clients through the Canadian Centre for Housing Rights or developing projects to increase newcomer civic engagement and political participation, when Lauren sees an obstacle, she works tirelessly to find a solution. .

Lauren Di Felice (she/her)

is an articling student at Lenczner Slaght.

Lauren completed her JD at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Lauren discovered her passion for litigation while studying trial advocacy. She subsequently represented the University of Toronto at the Arnup Cup Trial Advocacy Competition and placed first at the Davies Corporate Securities Law moot.

As a law student, Lauren was deeply engaged in the faculty of law and its community, volunteering with the International Human Rights Project, the Law Union, and the Canadian Centre for Housing Rights. Her resolute advocacy was further demonstrated in her founding and co-leading of the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights’ Reproductive Rights working group.

While at the University of Toronto, Lauren was awarded the Burgoyne Award of Excellence. The award is described as the most distinguished awards program presented to JD candidates and is recommended by faculty members based on academic excellence.

Prior to law school, Lauren was deeply involved in advocating in solidarity with newcomer communities. Lauren led Queen’s University’s effort in supporting incoming refugee students and led Kingston, Ontario’s Canadian Council for Refugees campaign. Afterwards, she was awarded the Pathy Foundation Fellowship and received $25,000 to work with newcomers to increase local civic engagement and political participation.
