Dan* is an associate at Lenczner Slaght. He comes to law from a background in journalism, making him an expert storyteller who weaves§ together facts and law to create persuasive advocacy. At the University of Ottawa, he was a decorated and prolific mooter, an experience that developed his ability to distill coherent legal narratives‡ out of intricate factual matrices. A lifelong puzzle-solver, Dan always relishes the chance to tackle a complex problem. Dan looks forward to building his litigation practice at Lenczner Slaght. .

Dan Malone (he/him)

is an associate at Lenczner Slaght.

Dan returned to the firm as an associate after finishing a clerkship at the Court of Appeal for Ontario. As a student at the firm, Dan gained experience on a wide variety of commercial, construction, and professional liability matters.

In 2022, Dan graduated summa cum laude from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. There, he won prizes in constitutional, international, and insurance law, while also competing internationally in the Jessup and Vis moots and working on the Ottawa Law Review. Dan is a natural problem-solver and a fierce competitor who thrives as part of a team.

Before his law career, Dan received a Bachelor of Journalism (Honours) degree from the University of King’s College and worked as a newspaper reporter and editor.
