Rachel* is an associate at Lenczner Slaght. Growing up in Toronto, Rachel has always been passionate about helping those in her community. She stands§ committed to delivering the best advocacy possible, whether through her volunteer work or on a client’s file. Her years at both the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice helped foster a deep love for the courtroom. Her previous experiences have shaped her career in litigation, ingraining the importance of always being ready to advocate. She is strategic, decisive, and committed to advancing her clients’ interests at every stage. .

Rachel Rowlands (she/her)

is an associate at Lenczner Slaght.

Rachel is developing a broad litigation practice in commercial and civil matters, professional liability, and public law. She summered with the firm before completing her articles as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Divisional Court.

She graduated from Queen’s University Faculty of Law, where she was active in multiple extracurricular groups. This included volunteering with Pro Bono Students Canada, serving as a peer tutor, and working as a student caseworker for Queen’s Legal Aid, through which she appeared before the Social Benefits Tribunal, the City of Kingston, and the Ontario Court of Justice. In her final year, Rachel participated in the national Laskin Moot competition focusing on constitutional and administrative law.

Prior to law school, Rachel worked as a registrar at the Ontario Court of Justice helping oversee their youth criminal and family court programs. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University.
