Blerta Gjoci (she/her)
is an associate at Lenczner Slaght.
Blerta summered and articled at Lenczner Slaght, where she gained experience in public law and professional liability matters, construction law, appeals, and complex commercial disputes.
Blerta completed her JD at Western Law. During her time in law school, Blerta volunteered at Elgin-Oxford Legal Clinic to serve remote Ontario communities. An avid mooter, Blerta participated in the Julius Alexander Isaac Moot team, where her team was awarded second place factum. Blerta continued to hone her advocacy skills as an intern with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, where she advocated for refugees to various Canadian administrative bodies on behalf of the United Nations. Blerta also contributed to research for the Hidden Racial Profiling Project, a project investigating racial profiling by municipal police services in Canada.
Prior to law school, Blerta obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Toronto. She completed two majors, in Criminology & Sociolegal Studies and Employment Relations.
